Facial wrinkles and creases are a normal part of the aging process; a part that many of us would like to avoid.  Autologous fat transfer, also known as micro-lipo injection, fat transplantation, LipoStructure or Structural Fat Grafting™ is a popular alternative to other wrinkle treatments.  This procedure is the re-injection of your own fat back into an area or depression of the skin. This can be used on facial areas, buttocks or correct another surgeon’s liposuction defects.  Fat transfer is a safe, natural, non-allergenic technique.   

The Fat Transfer Procedure: Dr. Dobson can best evaluate your skin's condition, defects, and your desires.  A complete consultation with a recommended treatment plan will be designed for you specifically.  Fat transfer is performed in our Institute and is an outpatient procedure. The treatment site and the site where fat is removed are both anesthetized with a local anesthetic.  A small needle attached to a syringe is used to remove fat from the donor site, usually your abdomen, buttocks, or thighs. 

The fat is processed to remove excess fluids and then re-injected using another needle.  The fat is placed just under your skin, beneath the wrinkle or deeper into the tissue.
